Skin Classic

Skiin Classic

The Skin Classic Treatment for skin irregularities uses a high-frequency machine to enable quick, precise treatment of minor skin irregularities.

This device utilizes direct high frequency to dehydrate the top layer of the particular skin condition in order to allow new, healthy skin to grow.  It is an affordable non-invasive remedy that can reduce or diminish spots and imperfections that have not responded to alternative treatments.

This treatment is safe and effective on all skin types. It is quick and generally requires 1 initial treatment with a follow up treatment in 4-6 weeks where any irregularities that need a second treatment will be addressed.

MINOR SKIN IMPERFECTIONS TREATED WITH THE SKIN CLASSIC

The skin classic can treat virtually any skin irregularity that is 100% on the surface of skin(epidermal layer).  Irregularities that stem from the dermal layer of skin, ie, moles, scar tissue can not be treated.

Telangiectasis (broken capillaries)

Broken capillaries are small dilated blood vessels near the surface of the skin or mucus membranes. They can develop anywhere on the body but are commonly seen on the face around the nose, cheeks, chin, and chest. They can be caused by environmental damage such as sun or cold exposure and may increase as we age. Trauma to the skin such a contusions and surgical procedures are also a factor as well as radiation therapy.

Brown spots

Brown Spots, or Lentigo, are small pigmented spots that occur on the skin and have a clearly defined edge, surrounded by skin that appears normal. These are benign and restricted to the cell layer directly above the deepest membrane of the epidermis, which is where the melanocytes that make up these spots normally reside.  They occur in sun exposed areas appearing on the face, arms, tops of hands, and chest. The spots are typically smaller than 5mm in diameter and can be flat or depressed and may be split by fine wrinkles. The lesions are usually brown in color and may range from yellow-tan to black. Older lesions are often darker brown or black and can slowly increase in number and in size.

Skin Tags

A skin tag is a small benign tumor that primarily forms in areas where the skin creases, such as the neck, armpit, and groin. Sometimes they may also appear on the eyelids or other areas of the face. These are harmless and typically painless, and do not grow or change over time. Skin tags can be large, sometimes up to a half inch long, but are most commonly about the size of a grain of rice. The surface can range from smooth to rough. They can become irritated by shaving, clothing, or jewelry. Common causes are weight gain, genetic, diabetes, and pregnancy. They are also more common in women than men.

Seborrheic Keratosis

A seborrheic keratosis is a non-cancerous (benign) skin tumor that originates from cells in the outer layer of the epidermis. Like liver spots, seborrheic keratoses are seen more often as people age. These lesions can be slightly elavated and have a waxy or scaly appearance like a scab from a wound. They can appear round of oval, ranging from very small to more than one inch in size. These growths can appear in various colors, ranging from light tan to black. Seborrheic keratoses are commonly found on the face, chest, shoulders, and back.

Cherry Angiomas

Cherry Angiomas are small clusters of capillaries at the surface of the skin that form a small round dome, orpapule, which is often flat topped. The color typically ranges from bright red to purple. When they first begin to appear, they are almost flat and appear as small red dots. These dots can grow over time up to a centimeter or more in some cases. Larger cherry angiomas may be thick and raised. These are found in various areas of the face and body and are typically caused by aging, pregnancy, genetics, and excessive sun exposure.

Sebaceous Hyperplasia

Sebaceous Hyperplasia is a disorder of the oil glands and is a common, benign condition most commonly found in adults of middle age or older. These lesions can be single or multiple and appear as a yellow, soft, small papule on the face. They are round and the oil surrounds the pore giving it a "donut-like" appearance. Typically these occur on the nose, cheeks, and forehead. Occasionally, sebaceous hyperplasia appear on the chest or other parts of the body as well

Milia

A milium, plural milia, is a keratin filled cyst that can appear just under the epidermis. Milia are very common in newborn babies, but can appear on people of all ages. They are most commonly found around the nose and eye. In children, milia disappear easily, on their own. However, in adults they may require removal by skin care professional.

  • HOW MANY ENZYME TREATMENTS DO I NEED?
Results are noticeable from your first treatment, however a course of 3-8 sessions is recommend. Your first few treatments can be 2-4 weeks apart, then every 30 days until the skin is functioning well. Future follow up treatments can be carried out every 6-12 weeks depending on person. This should always be followed with continued use of the home care prescriptives to prolong results and maintain healthy skin. Using other brands will mean your results may take longer.
  • WHAT SENSATIONS SHOULD I EXPECT DURING ENZYME THERAPY TREATMENTS?
DMK treatments are very different to traditional facials. Once the DMK enzyme treatment has been applied to your face, neck and décolletage it will start to harden. During the 45 minutes of your treatment, you'll feel a small pulsing sensation – this is the effect of the enzymes at work as they help circulate blood and oxygen through your cells. Over the course of your treatment, the mask will set hard like concrete, and you may feel some downward pressure. The mask will feel tight as it dries & you will notice a pulsating sensation under the skin as your capillaries dilate to bring fresh nutrients and oxygen to your cells. This is called the plasmatic effect - true oxygen therapy from the inside out.
  • ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS WITH THE ENZYME TREATMENTS?
Redness from the Plasmatic Effect can last around 20 minutes. Other side effects are rare but can include slight redness, irritation or mild itching, temporary hyper-pigmentation and swelling for up to 24 hours. Slight flaking, dryness and peeling may be present for up to 72 hours post treatment.
  • WHAT IS PLASMATIC EFFECT?
Immediately after your treatment comes off there will be a visible effect called “plasmatic effect”. It kind of looks like you can see the blood running along your veins under your skin. This is an awesome sight to see but don’t worry – it quickly fades. What it means is that at that moment your skin has achieved homeostasis or perfect balance.
  • WHAT IS REVERSE OSMOSIS?
DMK enzyme therapy creates a “reverse osmosis” action. It is a back flushing action which forces fluid through the membranes around the cells flushing out impurities. It does this by utilizing transfer messenger enzymes. These are cells that communicate with each other, increasing circulation and delivery fresh, oxygenated blood to the skin. You’re left with a clean, clear, healthy environment for cells to thrive and function at an optimal level.
  • IS ENZYME THERAPY SAFE FOR WOMEN WHO ARE PREGNANT?
Yes, it can be performed throughout your whole pregnancy, helping to maintain hydration and keep your skin's function working optimally.
  • WHAT IS A HYDRAFACIAL GOOD FOR?
Here’s how Hydrafacial will help you. It makes your skin brighter and plumpier. Your complexion will become clearer You’ll notice reduction of dark spots, wrinkles, and saggy skin with each treatment. It will make your skin even-toned and firm. It will protect your skin from further damage.
  • HOW LONG DOES THIS TREATMENT TAKE? IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME OR PAIN INVOLVED?
Our goal is to help support you in a balanced lifestyle. That’s why a Hydrafacial treatment is fast and efficient treatment, taking as little as 30 minutes. You may put on makeup and return to your normal activities right after the treatment since there is no downtime.
  • WHAT RESULTS MAY BE EXPECTED? HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?
Many clients report seeing visible skin refinement and an even, radiant skin tone after just one treatment. The smooth results and hydration may last 5 to 7 days or even longer. We don’t believe in quick fixes, so one treatment per month is recommended for improving the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, brown spots, oily and congested skin. Continued Hydrafacial treatments are highly recommended to maintain skin health results.
  • WILL THE TREATMENT MAKE ME BREAKOUT?
For some people, yes, it’s common to have acne pop up over the next few days. But is it a bad thing? Absolutely not – the breakouts are a good sign that the treatment is working effectively. The acne dries out quickly. All the impurities will get purged, leaving your skin looking fantastic in a few days.
  • WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR HYDRAFACIAL?
The Hydrafacial treatment is designed for all skin types. Even the most sensitive skin easily tolerates the Hydrafacial treatment. Your skincare professional may choose specific treatment serums and/or customize the treatment for your unique skin conditions and needs. Consult your skincare professional for a skin evaluation and sensitivity test.
  • WHAT IS JET PLASMA?
Jet Plasma is the most advanced, revolutionary plasma technology available that can be used to brighten and tighten skin, shrink pores, reduce hyperpigmentation and promote high levels of collagen regeneration. It works by contracting and tightening the fibers inside of your skin and stimulating collagen and fibroblast activity, skin remodeling from the inside out. Jet Plasma is completely pain free, very quick, has zero downtime, no significant side effects (skin maybe look pink and feel tight), and highly effective with long-lasting results. The pen is a handheld plasma device that uses a cooler atmospheric temperature so it does not create surface trauma like traditional fibroblast plasma. This extremely powerful device penetrates 13,000 volts of plasma through the epidermis, into the dermal and subcutaneous layers of the skin stimulating high levels of collagen and remodeling the cellular structure from the inside out. When Jet plasma is mixed with oxide oxygen, ozone is created which kills surface bacteria and is anti inflammatory to aid in calming keratosis, eczema, and rosacea. It delivers a continuous flow of plasma which allows the device to move over the skin in a ‘scanning’ motion. There is no trauma to the surface of the skin. A series of treatments are recommended. These treatments may be spaced out every 48 hours or up to one week apart initially. Jet Plasma can be used on all skin pigmentations.
  • WHAT IS JET PLASMA USED FOR?
Jet plasma is remarkable for skin regeneration and tightening. One single Jet plasma treatment increases skin density by 14.8% and generates high levels of collagen. Jet plasma treats loss of elasticity, sagging, wrinkles, fine lines, drooping, heaving eyelids, under-eye bags, melasma, large pores, oily skin, improves skin texture and tone, and kills acne bacteria. When combined with quality skin care products immediately after a treatment, jet plasma allows topical products to be deeply absorbed into the skin because the skin channels are opened up after a treatment and allow the skin care products to penetrate much deeper.
  • WHAT ARE THE AFTER CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR JET PLASMA?
Do not apply any products to your skin, for 12 hours after your treatment. Make sure to use a clean pillowcase the evening of your treatment. Do not apply any makeup for 12 hours after your treatment. Avoid exercise, sauna and steam for 12 hours.
  • WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?
You may see immediate improvement with one treatment, however, like all collagen stimulating treatments, the collagen takes time to regenerate and final results are seen around 4-6 weeks. Best results require a series of 3-9 treatments depending on your age and skin concerns.
  • HOW LONG DO RESULTS LAST?
Results from a Jet Plasma treatment range from two to five years. Longevity of results is dependent on age, health, lifestyle choices, sun exposure, skincare routine, etc… Like with most skincare treatments, a series is recommended for best results. For Jet Plasma, a series of 6 is ideal. Clients can see improvement with just one treatment, however, it’s important to understand that the skin will continue to improve as high levels of collagen regenerate over the next 6-8 weeks. Jet Plasma can be used anywhere on the face and body. Once the desired results are achieved, you can schedule a treatment as needed for maintenance.
  • WHO IS NOT A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR JET PLASMA?
Anyone with a pacemaker Anyone pregnant Anyone with hypersensitivity Anyone with cancerous lesions Anyone with an implanted neurostimulator Anyone with an electrical implanted device or implanted slow medication release
  • IS THERE ANY DOWN TIME?
Yes there is. After your Skin Classic treatment it is normal to experience some irritation as well as some redness and possibly some inflamation depending on the extent of the treated area. 24-48 hours after, a scab-like crust will form over the area. This will fall off on its own in 7-14 days. In some cases, swelling or bruising may occur right after treatment. Pinpoint bleeders are also normal post treatment on broken capillary treatment. occur.
  • WHAT DO TREATMENTS FEEL LIKE?
There is a small stinging pain associated with the touching of the probe to the skin, but there is no piercing or penetration into skin. Feels like an ant bite. You may take allergy meds or tylenol the evening after your treatment if inflammation or minimal pain occur.
  • WHO IS NOT A CANDIDATE FOR SKIN CLASSIC?
Pacemakers, pregnancy, breastfeeding, lupus, accutane, diabetes, active cold sore, melasma,
  • WHY CAN'T YOU TREAT MELASMA?
Melasma is a hormonal form of pigmentation that is directly induced by heat. The Skin Classic does use a small amount of heat in the high frequency procedure. Because of this, the treatment has the potential to make your melasma worse. We would never want to take that chance.
  • WHY CAN'T YOU TREAT MOLES?
Moles have roots and roots must come out with the mole to be effective. I refer clients to a dermatologist if removing moles is the concern.
  • WHAT IS THE AFTER CARE FOR SKIN CLASSIC TREATMENTS?
Until your scabs fall off you’ll need to use a gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF daily. Gentle cleansing and patting the skin dry after is best. In shower, avoid letting the water submerge the treated areas until after the scabs have come off. If you exercise, be sure to keep excess sweat off the treated areas. NO PICKING at your scabs. Avoid direct sunlight immediately following treatment. SPF is an absolute must to protect that new baby skin that forms after.
  • CAN I WEAR MAKEUP AFTER?
During the healing process the treated areas can be covered with tinted sunscreen or mineral makeup but full coverage is not recommended. If you must wear a full face of makeup, please be very gentle in your makeup application and removal process.
  • WHAT WILL MY SKIN LOOK LIKE AFTER THE SCABS FALL OFF?
The skin may look pinkish or brownish for up to 6-8 weeks as the new skin goes through the complete healing cycle. Skin tone will begin to normalize with the use of proper home care and SPF.
  • WHAT SHOULD I AVOID UNTIL AFTER THE SCABS FALL OFF?
Aggressive and corrective topicals should be avoided until after scabs have fallen off. Refrain use of vitamin A products (tretinoin, retin-A, renova, differin) and high-percentage AHA (glycolic, mandelic or lactic acid) and BHA (salicylic acid) products for approximately 7 days prior and 10-14 days post treatment.
  • CAN I ADD THIS TO THE END OF A TREATMENT?
This is honestly up to you. If you have a few lesions to treat, I would have no problem doing this service at the end of a facial. If you need extensive work, you'll need to book a separate treatment. Can not be combined with Chemical Peel Treatments.
  • DO I NEED TO AVOID ANYTHING POST-STEMZYME?
Your skin is vulnerable during treatment. Be mindful of UV exposure and keep the skin protected. Limit outdoor activities as much as possible for the first 72 hours post treatment. You'll also want to forgo wearing makeup for the first 72 hours as well. Be mindful of booking Botox and filler appointments around this treatment series.
  • WHEN CAN I START USING MY HOME PRESCRIPTIVES AND MAKEUP AGAIN?
You may resume using your home prescriptives and makeup starting on Day 4 after the Stemzyme Treatment.
  • I HAVE LEFTOVER STEMZYME #4 & #5. DO I KEEP USING THEM AFTER DAY 3?
No. You will throw out any remaining StemZyme #4 & #5 after Day 3.
